Mmmm . . . one of my favorite cards. And a bit of a surprise really, as I expect this coming week to be quite active, as I work on projects for clients, refine my marketing materials and prepare for the Tarot workshops I’m going to be teaching at PSG. And the weather here is so delightful, it’s more in tune with the Sun card. We are having a run of days full of sunshine that just make you want to dance! I think of the High Priestess as more in alignment with cool, rainy weather, when it’s easier to withdraw from the world and go within.
So perhaps this is what the High Priestess asks of me this week: to make sure that I take breaks from my work schedule to feed my spirit and to listen to the voice of the Invisibles, as Sister Kim Mermaid calls them. To practice mindfulness, wherein I give my full attention to whatever I am doing, moment by moment. To be aware of the currents of energy that run just below the surface. To catch the movement happening just beyond the scope of my vision. To listen to the music just out of range of my hearing.
I started rereading one of my favorite novels last night, Forests of the Heart by Charles deLint, and it does take me directly to that in-between-the-worlds kind of place.
Listen to the voice of the wind, she says, and the voice of your dreams. Be on the lookout for signs and omens as you spend time outside. What is the voice of the river beneath the river, the sea beneath the sea? Can you understand the language of the birds? The language of the flowers?
And how about you, dear Reader? What does the High Priestess ask of you?
I'll have to think about what the HP asks of me, but I did have a thought as I read your post about what she is perhaps also asking of YOU. Remember that you are a priestess all the time, rain or shine, whatever you are doing, whether it is designing websites, planning marketing strategies, or drawing down the moon. The wisdom isn't just in the pauses you take away from your work, but in the mindfulness you bring TO your work. Your sacred service is whatever is before you, right this minute. Okay, this is my message from her too. :-)

Ah, you are so right, dear Wise One!

What a bouquet of messages this single card evokes for me, but mostly it's the period at the end of the sentence that I've been looking for-not a screaming exclamation point, not a worried question mark. A simple and wise "Yes. Now go."
Finally. Thank you.

The High Priestess says I need to honor my inner truth and make choice from this authentic place.

VESSEL I AM, and what I open to, nurture, and focus upon--BECOMES.
This week I am called to remember that I, as Priestess, am the container of creation; and I am She who creates the opportunities that enrich my life. The Priestess is a vessel that the Goddess works through to touch the lives of many in ways that bless us all-ways.
Just yesterday I was able to have playdate with my 10 month old "near"granddaughter Kaydance. I was wanting to see my other "near"granddaughter Madison and both of the girls parents. It had been a while since we had gathered. So I created the opportunity. I texted them to come for a BBQ after work. It was simple, the house was a mess, but I chose to work with what was there. We had a lovely time, both girls played in the kiddee pool and we had a chance to catch up.
It was by creating the space, claiming the space for connection to happen that it did. And we were all Blessed.

Joanna, this card (and La Bella Luna) are the first cards from your magnificent deck which I encountered, and I love them both.
I particularly like the fact that your priestess is both a radiant young woman and a beautiful vibrant crone. She is the sum of her years, her wisdom and experience, but the relationship is synergistic, and she is much more - she is greater than the sum of her individual parts and continuously evolving in ways powerful and mysterious and affirming.
