Now, there’s a fabulous card to pull for the coming conference. Joy, happiness, dancing, gratitude, shining like the sun. My roommate Julie Cuccia-Watts just pulled this card for me and I thank her for it! It’s an especially good omen for both of us, don’t you think?
One of the things I noticed while I was in Maine was how happy I felt. It was mostly due to being around the kids, especially Gracie. Nothing like spending time with your grandchild to have your heart open wide like a sunflower, turning its head toward the sun. Time slowed down, too. Everything revolved around Gracie’s schedule and there were hours when there was nothing to do but go for walks, read books, play with crayons. I felt so blessed and grateful to have that time away from my usual packed schedule. A clue to happiness: living a slow, mindful life. I’d like to bring more of that back into my life when I get home.
The more I meditate on the Sun card, the more I think its message for us is to really consider the source of our happiness. What truly makes you happy? What brings you joy? How can you incorporate more of it into your life this week?
I always look forward to hearing what you have to say, dear readers.
Wow, I drew this card for myself this morning as well. Linked with an 8 of fire and a 1 of earth, I too felt energized and hopeful for a joyful and positive resolution to some teenager-induced tension in my family. Time to go outside and enjoy all of the sunshine and flowers. Enjoy Readers Studio today!

In this case, I also think The Sun symbolizes how incredibly hot it was in Brooklyn during your visit! Of course, now it's pouring—just like the Pacific Northwest.

What a gorgeous card! The colors are so joyful, they really capture the energy of the meaning of The Sun card :)

From what I saw, Joanna, you got a chance to shine even more than usual and it energised you. What makes ME happy is to do the work I enjoy (tarot, reiki, coaching, circle methodology, etc.), offering service to our world, and to get paid for it. This makes me SHINE!

Joanna, as you know, this is my favorite card. For me it's not so much about what brings me joy but about this inner attitude that I sometimes have that makes whatever I'm doing feel joyful. I wish I could just push a button and have that feeling all the time.

My friend, Alison, drew this card yesterday morning (5/18/09) as she was returning to Kansas from Colorado. We were using the Revelations Deck. All the sunflowers just screaming "KASAS." I missed looking at your card of the week for the last couple of weeks as I was busy with preparing for Beltania, which is SO the 3 of Fire, this week's card!!
I'm still chuckling. More in comments on that card.

hello, I like to discuss in these blogs that talk about the sun and its properties, I've also seen blogs where the sun include some things a little strange contexts, the sun is a great energy that gives us our God, and their properties are unique!
