I've been posting my #HMOTDs (Happiest Moment of the Day) on Twitter, and quite a few folks have joined me. I thought it could be a micro gratitude journal, and would help me to focus on the blessings in my life instead of focusing on my complaints. Another way of going complaint-free. I didn't realize, however, how much I would enjoy reading other people's HMOTD. TarotbyArwen says it's subversive, and PeelAPom suggests it could become a meme. It's very fun. If you feel so inclined, please join in!
It really is so much fun to share in everyone's gratitude. It can't help but make you happier and more appreciative of your own #HMOTD!

I'm so excited to see all the other people picking this up. It's really nice to see people sharing good things and not just the bad!

I agree, Carly. I decided that I really disliked reading all the complaints on Twitter -- do I need that in my head space? No. Complaints beget complaints, gratitude begets gratitude. (Not that I'm 100% complaint-free myself!)

Hi Joanna, I was just surfing through and the Island Twilight picture caught my eye (beautiful). Love the idea of a HMOTD (may borrow it myself :)) but I also noticed a comment about eating gluten-free. I don't know if you've seen the blog Gluten-Free Girl by Shauna Aherne but it floated into my mind, so thought I would mention it. It's not only fabulously written but has amazing amounts of gluten-free recipes & links :)
Blessings
Mouse

Thanks Mouse! Please do borrow the HMOTD. I first heard of it myself from an interview Oprah did with Elizabeth Gilbert (who wrote Eat Pray Love). And yes I am a big Gluten-Free Girl fan - I read her blog religiously!
