What wisdom do I need to keep in mind this coming week?
Wow! What a wonderful card to pull today. A butterfly emerges from her cocoon that hangs from a hawthorn tree, one of the Beltane flowers. Emerging from gestation, oh yes! Tomorrow I’ll be releasing all the details for my newest project, the Gaian Tarot Circle community site. This is something I’ve been dreaming up for months, and I’m thrilled that its time is so near.
Spring! Rebirth! Renewal! Metamorphosis!
Yes I am blossoming with new ideas for creative projects, classes, books, . . . And I’m in the midst of healing myself of some minor health issues that have been irking me for months. I’m back on track with daily walks outdoors, where I can get my exercise and connect with Mama Gaia all at the same time. Blessed be!
And what does this card say to you, dear Readers?
For me, this card, even in the midst of Retrograde Mercury, talks about speaking your own truth, becoming who you were meant to be. Am I that off?

Hecate, in my opinion, it's not possible to be off when it comes to intuitively reading the cards. I love your take on it. That's one of the reasons I ask people what they see in the images — because you have a perspective that I don't. Thank you.

Although I am, at heart, a fall season woman, there is something about spring that makes me feel that the earth can breathe deeply again, and we humans find a sense of renewal.

I like this card right now because it emphasizes new beginnings at a time when many things in my life seem to be coming to an end. For example, this is my last ever week of undergraduate studies! I don't know what I'll be doing next, and that can be scary. But I can think of a butterfly emerging from its cocoon and needing time to dry out its wings in the sunshine, to rest before it can take flight and start exploring the world in its new form. That gives me hope that I don't need to immediately jump into something and that there are good things to come. I can also think of the "butterfly effect" to remember that even though I am one, I can still make an impact on the world in some way, even though the impact may not be immediately obvious. This is a very encouraging card right now - thank you!
