What is my most helpful resource throughout the coming week?
Whoa! We just turned up the Explorer of Water two weeks ago. I just love it when cards start recurring, as we know there’s some kind of extra wisdom for us there. I would say that I am still learning to ride the waves of what comes my way with skill and grace. Practice, practice, practice. :-) And remember to breathe.
Here’s what I wrote in the Gaian Tarot companion book:
When you get this card in a reading . . .
This is joy that comes from within, and is not dependent on outer circumstances. The Explorer of Water is romantic and charming, and others are drawn to the deep well of peace inside him. He loves yoga, meditation and any of the mystical arts. He expresses his deep feelings and spirituality through art, music, or dance. He flows with great compassion for others, and imagines things as they could be: “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one. . .”
How about you, dear Reader? What does the Explorer of Water say to you?
Since the question was/is What is my most helpful resource throughout the coming week?
What if ....the resource is the joy and the inner peace. What if.... it's not about practicing the skills to ride, but allowing the flow to carry and guide?

He is telling me to ride the waves of whatever comes this week. If I stay in my flow, I'll handle everything and everyone.

Like Shell, to me this card (at least for this week) is about "riding the wave." Things are hectic and stressful for me this week: I'm in the process of both starting and quitting my job (it's not the right fit), dealing with family politics for Passover, and trying to arrange my social engagements with far less time than I usually have.
This card is telling me, "Just ride the wave. Don't fight it, don't try to do too much. Just roll with the punches and keep your sense of balance."
So that's what I'm going to do.

OK, I could not but laugh when I this morning saw your card of the week. Without knowing this I elextronical pulled this card for my daily card yesterday. How is that for a coinscidense! I think I site my subject: "Oh dude! You are riding it dude! Check it out!" Thats what this card wants to teach me!

Shell and Julie, great interpretations.
Anna, that's hilarious that you picked the same card. Love it!

This card says to me: Regardless of appearances, or how high the waves seem -- I can and will stay balanced and rely on my playful Spirit, (dolphin) and enjoy the ride!
Whoo Hoo!!

For me, this card says to watch my step so that I don't overbalance and plunge into my emotional waves. LOL I might be having a particularly Piscean emo week right now so that is definitely coloring my take. I like how his arms are out to help give him balance.
