Very nice! Love the colors. And the herons in the background have a lovely Japanese feel. It's a different take on the 7 of Cups than I usually have, and that's one of the things that I love about your deck -- the originality and depth of interpretation. Can't wait to see what's next! :-)
Mmhmm. I think I know that mountain in the background :) Oddly, when I look at this I get a flashback to my childhood combing the beaches of Puget Sound and finding little bits of glass and pottery - each mysterious windows into the past - and fantasizing about where they might have come from. This is future-looking, but has a similar feel :) who knows what might be in those mysterious bottles...
Thanks, everyone! I like all the blues too. I tried putting in some contrasting colors but they just didn't look right. Something about the "blues" maybe in the meaning of this card? Lunaea (and those of you who commented on the sketch in the previous entry) . . . yes I like to shake things up a bit. So I've "moved on" from the moment in the RWS version, as Freesparrow says. The shadow side of this card could be the "dithering over a choice" as Inanna and Angela said.
Teresa, I'm not surprised you recognize the Mountain (Komo Kulshan, aka Mt Baker), which also appears in my Fool/Seeker card. I took the photo that became the background a few years ago on the reservation, looking towards Bellingham. It was a spring day, very low tide, and there were nearly a hundred eagles and herons out on the mudflats, feeding. What a sight that was.
There's something about the significance of the herons in this image, but right now it's purely intuitive. Let me know if anyone has an idea!
All the "cups" in this image BTW are here in my own house.
He's gorgeous, Joanna! Glad to hear that you're feeling "on track" with the sevens. Bev and I were sighing over the deck we desire just a couple of days ago.

This is just stunning. It's so clear too, at least for me. Choose and drink.
I love the seven birds in the background, too.

The number seven, mountains and water and herons (my favorite bird). Joanna, this card is absolutely stunning!

Wow! I really think this is my favorite...But I am such a pushover for blue glass, esp. blue glass by the seaside. Sigh. So very lovely, thank you!

I love the way he drinks so full-heartedly. This image speaks of choice, commitment and passion.
The metaphor of drinking so from the cup of choice is such a universal one.
