Tarot On!
Tonight is our third Bellingham Tarot MeetUp and I'm looking forward to meeting the new folks who have RSVP'd. We've been having a great time at these gatherings, with lively conversation and laughter. Thanks to Ferol in Texas and Beth in North Carolina for your comments and encouragement.
Tonight, in recognition of Valentine's Day, we'll look at some of the classic "relationship cards" in the deck — the Lovers, the 2 of Cups . . . what other cards say "relationships"? What cards say "community"?
We'll try out a couple of simple relationship spreads. These don't have to be about romantic relationships — friendships, parent/child, business partners — all kinds of relationships work.
So if you're in the Bellingham area tonight, I hope you'll join us. (And if not, there's always next month . . .)
And . . . this coming Sunday I'll be presenting a three hour workshop at the 16th Annual Women of Wisdom Conference. I designed this workshop specifically for this conference with its theme of Empowering the Dreams and Spirit of Women. In my workshop, "Empower Your Dreams with Tarot," we'll use the Tarot as a creative brainstorming tool to help make our dreams a reality. The cards will give us ideas on translating our visions into goals and making a step-by-step plan to achieve those goals. We will do some journaling, share our insights with others and end with a short ritual. Topics include: Defining Your Dream; Resources and Challenges; Brainstorming Actions towards Goals; Making a Plan of Action.
This workshop was partly inspired by my friend James Wells' book Tarot for Manifestation. (James is one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming Readers Studio.) I did a dry run of this workshop at my house last fall for a group of friends and it was a big hit. Hope some of you can make it! Registration info is on the WOW website, although I'm pretty sure you'll be able to register the morning of the workshop as well.
And if you're not in the Seattle area, why not ask if I can come to your town to teach this workshop or another? Ya never know . . . I just might say yes!

Aaawww...shucks, Joanna. Glad it's inspired you. And I can't wait to hear how you've added your own Gaian flavour to the processes. Wish I could be in Seattle to see you do your stuff. Can't wait to see you in Newark in April. Hugs to you and the household!

Dear joanna
Just to say I'm still following your blog and enjoying it a lot. The Gaian Tarot is progressing beautifully !
And I so enjoyed hearing about the time you spent with your little granddaughter-and her photographs . I LOVE that almost bald head ! My three lovelies were exactly the same.
