Three of Fire
I finished the 3 of Fire yesterday. Those bright fiery colors were a lot of fun to work with, especially during the icy, grey days we've been having this week.
You can see that I've departed quite a bit here from the RWS 3 of Wands. There's no wealthy merchant watching his ships depart, no focus on trade or commerce or enterprise. For me, Fire is about passion, creativity, magic, energy, sexuality, power, risk-taking. Three's are about abundance, harmony, fertility, manifestation. So I wanted the 3 of Fire to show the joy of creativity, self-expression and self-empowerment. This woman is no shrinking violet!
On to the 3 of Water. (Have I mentioned that I'm working on each card in the same order that we cast a circle? As I come to each number or face card, I work on them in this order: Air, Fire, Water, Earth. It just feels right, as if it's maintaining the integrity of a sacred order.)
BTW a couple of people have asked, "What are the 3 floating balls?" To which I answer, like a good Tarot reader: "I don't know. What do you think they are?" (goodness gracious, great balls of . . . )

What a joyous, beautiful card Joanna! I just love the flames of fabric, the mysterious passion, and the magic I see in this card. Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to see more of the threes!

Indeed Great Balls of Fire! Just what we need to lighten up our Winter! Three balls of gold were traditionally used as the Pawn Shop sign (a gift from St Nick who is the Patron of Generosity} and 3 gold balls were tossed down the well to the Magic Frog and last by not least Celts love being 'triadic'. Blessings of the Three!

Wonderful :) I love this version - the Three of Wands has been coming up for me a lot lately and I like the emphasis on passion, energy, excitement and personal expression :)

Oooh she's lovely. The Two of Fire is one of my favorite cards of yours so far, and right now I'm seeing a definite pattern as to which my favorite element is going to be! Can't wait to see the four of them all together.

I feel her coming right out of the card and throwing her scarves around my neck - pulling me into a fiery embrace. Now we are twirling and swirling and floating.

Magical, passionate, otherworldly. I love it.

Oh, she's lovely! There is some great energy in that drawing. And I almost feel like I've gotten away with something, seeing her before all the threes were finished.

What a hot card! Just perfect to drive away the cold winter blahs! The colors are wonderful and vibrant! It's also a very peaceful card, despite it's obvious fire. Perhaps there's peace with discovering one's personal power? Hmmmmm...I need to look at that more closely....

Her face says I create my own destiny and I'm loving it! She gives me permission to celebrate life! I can't wait to see the rest of the threes :) It is very true. There IS indeed peace when you discover you have the power to create it.

Thank you, everyone! It's always so great to hear feedback like this. Peace in personal power . . . hmm, Charyn, I think you've just given me yet another layer of meaning for this card!

She's heavenly and full of spirit and light and spunk! Yessss!
One question? am I misperceiving that she has no legs? Or are they supposed to be behind her, as she leaps? Maybe I question this apparent lack of legs, because of my own leg issues. (:-D) Arthritic knees and varicosities, so legs are sensitive issues for me, literally!

Roswila, a couple of other people have mentioned the missing leg or foot. I left it out for technical reasons -- in order to fit it in, the entire figure would have had to be smaller and I liked her the size she is. She does look like she's floating, which was unintended but works in terms of the card I think. I'm playing around with adding the leg back in, but it would "hide" behind the white border. So far I like it better without it. Thanks for asking!
